ADVICE TO MY YOUNGER ME

Sara Holtz launched the Advice to My Younger Me podcast and wrote Advice to My Younger Me: Career Lesson from 100 Successful Women as “pay-it-forward” projects after a trail-blazing and highly accomplished career. A Yale College graduate (she was in the first class of women there) and a Harvard Law School trained lawyer, she was a business lawyer and a senior executive at Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her corporate career, she was often the only woman in the room.

When she left the corporate world after 20 years, she vowed to make the workplace a less challenging, more rewarding place for the women who came after her. She founded a company to help women lawyers achieve career success. She received the American Bar Association’s prestigious Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award in recognition of the impact that her work has had on helping other women succeed.

She is the author of Advice to My Younger Me: Career Lessons from 100 Successful Women and Bringin’ in the Rain: A Woman Lawyer’s Guide to Business Development.

Sara lives in San Francisco, with her Havanese dog, Kirby. She has two 30-something sons, who sometimes take her advice. Her favorite thing is a great conversation. Travel is also high on her list. And of course, she loves listening to podcasts and asking questions.
